To calculate the amount of radioactivity remaining :

  1. Use total activity reference date on label to determine age of material
  2. Calculate number of expired days from label reference date to current date.
  3. Multiply total activity stated on label by fraction from appropriate column.

Example:

  1. Total activity on label:                        110 µCi
  2. Reference date on label:                   March 24
  3. Current date:                                     April 7
  4. Number of expired days:                   14
  5. Fraction from chart:                           0.507
  6. Amount of radioactivity remaining:    110 µCi x 0.507 = 55.77 µCi
